Q2 2025 Market Review

Following a mixed Q1 in which the US market dipped while international markets were positive, stocks have shown strong performance in Q2. The US market has rebounded, up 10.99% for the quarter. International stocks continued to do well, boosted by a weakening US dollar, with international stocks up 12.05% and emerging markets up 11.99%. US Bonds returned 1.21% while bonds outside the US were up 1.93%.

Last quarter, I noted that Q2 was off to a volatile start as markets fell in early April. That volatility has subsided, and markets have climbed steadily. This short window is a reminder that patient investors who ride out the ups and downs are generally rewarded. Nobody knows what the remainder of Q3 has in store, but it’s important to have a solid investment strategy and the discipline to stick with it.
