Q2 2026 Market Review

The volatility we experienced at the beginning of the year already feels like a distant memory, with strong returns across the board during the second quarter. U.S. stocks gained 15.44%, while developed international stocks returned 10.22% and emerging markets surged 24.05%. Meanwhile, U.S. bonds returned 0.67%, and international bonds gained 1.77%.

In many ways, the volatility we've experienced this year isn't surprising. There seems to be a never-ending stream of major headlines on everything from Iran to the SpaceX IPO. While these events can make markets feel uncertain in the short term, volatility is simply part of the price we pay as investors. If your investments remain aligned with your financial goals and long-term plan, one of the best things you can do may be to tune out the noise and allow the markets to do what they have historically done over time.
